What You Will Need

  • Mild detergent
  • A sponge
  • White vinegar
  • Oxygen-based bleach
  • Lint-free cloths

Step 1: Soak the Muslin In a Mixture of Detergent and Water

Create a mixture of mild detergent and warm water, and soak the muslin fabric in it for 30 minutes. This will loosen up the dirt and grime that have stuck to the fabric.

Step 2: Scrub Away Grime With a Sponge

After the muslin fabric has been soaked, use a clean, damp sponge to gently scrub away the dirt and grime. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could damage the fabric.

Step 3: Rinse Off the Fabric

Once the fabric has been scrubbed, rinse it with lukewarm water until all of the soap is gone. Make sure to wring out all of the excess water from the fabric before you move on to the next step.

Step 4: Treat the Grass Stains With Vinegar or Oxygen-based Bleach

If the grass stains are still visible after rinsing, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and use a lint-free cloth to dab mixture onto the affected areas. Alternatively, you could also use an oxygen-based bleach for the same purpose.

Step 5: Launder Muslin Fabric As Usual

Once the grass stains have been treated, you can place the muslin fabric in the washer and launder it as you usually would. If the fabric is delicate, make sure to use a gentle cycle.

Conclusion

Cleaning grass stains from muslin fabric isn’t difficult, as long as you follow steps above. With these tips, you can get rid of those pesky stains in no time and enjoy clean, stain-free muslin fabric.
