Macramé is a type of craft that can involve cords or threads - the knots you make create beautiful patterns. Unfortunately, those cords and threads can easily pick up grass stains, making your work look less than its best. But fear not! With just a few quick steps, you can learn how to clean grass stains from macramé.
Start by filling a sink with cold water and a small amount of laundry detergent. Place the macramé item in the sink and let it soak for 15-30 minutes. Then, use a soft brush to gently scrub the stained area.
Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse macramé item with cold water. Be sure to rinse all of the detergent out of fabric.
For stubborn grass stains, mix together two parts white vinegar and one part water. Place macramé item in the mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes. After the time is up, use a toothbrush to scrub the stain until it has disappeared.
Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse the macramé item with cold water once more. Then, lay it flat on a towel and let it air dry. Do not put it in the dryer - this can cause shrinkage and damage the item.
Now, your macramé piece is all clean and ready to go! With just a few easy steps, you can get all of those pesky grass stains out and restore your item to its original beauty.
