Grass stains

Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stained Area

Start by pre-treating the area with water and a mild laundry detergent. Using a soft cloth or brush, gently scrub the area with the soapy mixture to loosen up the stain.

Step 2: Soak the Stained Area

Once stain has been pre-treated, let your item soak in a bowl filled with cool water and fabric softener for about 30 minutes. This will help make the stain easier to remove.

Step 3: Scrub the Stained Area with a Stain Remover

After stain has soaked, use a mild stain remover and a soft brush to scrub the stain until it is completely gone. Use lukewarm water if necessary.

Step 4: Wash the Item

Finally, throw your item into the washing machine with some mild laundry detergent and follow instructions on the care label. It's always a good idea to air dry items with stains to make sure they are completely gone.

Tips

  • It is best to treat grass stains as soon as possible. If a grass stain has already set in, soak the item for longer than 30 minutes.
  • If the stain does not come out after the first attempt, repeat steps 2 - 4.
  • If stain still remains, use a stronger stain remover such as Oxy-Clean.
