Grass stains

If you need to clean grass stains from hair ties, the process is fairly straightforward. Begin by filling a bucket or sink with cold water and a small amount of mild laundry detergent. Place the stained hair tie in the soapy water and let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Next, rub the area gently with a soft cloth. Once the stain has loosened up, rinse the hair tie with cold water and let it air dry.

If the grass stains are still visible, try sprinkling a little bit of baking soda or baby powder over the area. Then, again use a soft cloth to work powder into the fabric. If the stain still remains after this step, it's time to break out the heavy hitter: white vinegar. Soak the hair tie in 1/2 cup of white vinegar and a cup of warm water for 15 minutes. When you take it out of the solution, use a soft toothbrush to work the stain in small circles. Rinse the hair tie with cold water and let it air dry.

Grass stains can be stubborn, but with the right cleaning methods, you should be able to get them out of your hair ties in no time. Follow the steps above and you’ll have grass stain-free hair ties in no time!
