How to Say Goodbye to Grass Stains on Your Favourite Outfits!

Removing Grass Stains from Fabric

  • The removal process begins by soaking the fabric with warm water for 30 minutes.
  • Once the fabric has been soaked, use a damp cloth and lightly rub the stain.
  • Wash the stained clothing in a washing machine with the usual detergent and hot water.
  • If the grass stain still remains, mix together equal parts of a laundry detergent and white vinegar.
  • Use a clean damp cloth to rub the mixture on the stain and rinse it off with cold water.
  • Launder the garment as usual in the washing machine.

Removing Grass Stains from Wool and Silk

  • For wool and silk garments, you need to be extra careful while cleaning them.
  • Soak garment in warm, soapy water for 30 minutes.
  • Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar and two tablespoons of liquid soap in two cups of warm water.
  • Using a clean cloth, apply the solution on the affected area, and gently dab stain.
  • Rinse with warm water and allow the garment to dry in the shade.

Removing Grass Stains from Leather

  • For leather goods, removal process can be done with an old toothbrush and a gentle leather cleaner.
  • Rub the leather cleaner on the grass stain using the toothbrush, then wipe the residue with a damp cloth.
  • Leave it to air-dry naturally and avoid using heat or a hairdryer.
  • Apply some leather conditioner to restore moisture back into the leather.

Removing Grass Stains from Shoes

  • Start off by brushing away any loose dirt or debris from the shoes.
  • Create a paste using lemon juice and salt and apply it on the grass stain using an old toothbrush.
  • Allow the paste to sit for 15 minutes before wiping it away with a clean damp cloth.
  • If the stain is still visible, mix together one part water and one part rubbing alcohol.
  • Dip a cloth in the mixture and rub the stained area.
  • Once done, wipe area clean with a damp cloth and leave it to dry before wearing the shoes.
