What You'll Need

  • A plastic spoon
  • White vinegar
  • Salt
  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • Laundry spot remover
  • Baking soda
  • An old toothbrush
  • A terry cloth towel

Instructions

  1. Gently scrape off the grass stain with a plastic spoon to remove as much of it as possible.
  2. Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1 teaspoon of salt and stir until the salt dissolves.
  3. Rub a small amount of liquid laundry detergent into the stain until it forms a stiff lather.
  4. Apply the vinegar and salt mixture to the stain and let it sit for approximately 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse the denim in cold water and then apply laundry spot remover directly to the stain.
  6. Allow the spot remover to sit for 5 minutes before blotting the area with a terry cloth towel.
  7. If the stain persists, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of warm water until a thick paste forms.
  8. Spread paste onto the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
  9. Use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the stain before rinsing and air-drying.
