Instructions for Removing Grass Stains from Cotton Twill

  1. First, if the stain is fresh, brush off any excess dirt or grass from the fabric.
  2. Mix together 1 teaspoon of detergent and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with ½ cup of warm water.
  3. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the mixture onto the grass stain. Let it soak for a few minutes.
  4. Rinse the stained area with cold water until the stain is completely gone.
  5. If the stain persists, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain has been successfully lifted.
  6. Once stain is completely removed, wash fabric according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Additional Tips for Removing Grass Stains from Cotton Twill

  • If stain is old, pre-soak the fabric in a detergent solution for 30 minutes before proceeding with the above steps.
  • If the fabric is delicate, use a mild laundry detergent instead of the vinegar and detergent mixture.
  • Do not use bleach or any other harsh chemicals to treat the stain as this can damage the fabric.
  • Be sure to dry the fabric completely after washing so that any remaining residue can be brushed off.
