Grass stains

What You'll Need:

  • Liquid detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • An old toothbrush
  • A clean cloth

Instructions:

  1. Before you start, it's important to make sure that your seersucker is colorfast. Soak a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric for about 10 minutes in a mixture of two parts cool water and one part liquid detergent. If the fabric starts to fade after the test, do not proceed.
  2. Make a cleaning solution by combining one cup of white vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda. Mix it together until the baking soda is dissolved.
  3. Using an old toothbrush, apply the cleaning solution directly to the grass stain. Rub gently, but don't scrub too hard as it could damage fabric.
  4. Allow the cleaning solution to work its magic for a few minutes before rinsing the affected area with cold water.
  5. If the grass stain is still present after rinsing, repeat above steps. You may need to do this several times until the stain is gone.
  6. Once stain is gone, use a clean cloth to pat the area dry.
