  • Oxygen-based bleach
  • White vinegar
  • Fabric softener
  • Soft bristle brush

Instructions For Cleaning Grass Stains

  1. Mix one part liquid laundry detergent with two parts warm water in a bowl and stir until frothy.
  2. Dampen the stained area with clean water, then apply the detergent mixture.
  3. Rub the area gently with your fingers or a soft bristle brush until the stain begins to loosen.
  4. Rinse the jeans fully with clean water, then check to see if the stain has lifted.
  5. If the stain persists, mix one part oxygen-based bleach with four parts warm water and apply it to area.
  6. Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
  7. If all else fails, mix one part white vinegar with two parts warm water and apply it to the area.
  8. Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Repeat as necessary.
  9. Finally, use a fabric softener to soften area and restore fabric's original color.
