  • Hair dryer

Removing Grass Stains From Cotton

  1. Rinse the grass stain under cold running water.
  2. Mix together a solution of 1 part dish soap and 1 part white vinegar. Apply the mixture directly to the stain and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Dab the area with a damp cotton cloth to remove the solution.
  4. Sprinkle some baking soda on the stain and let it sit for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Use a hair dryer to heat up the baking soda so that it can better absorb the stain. Move the dryer around stain for about 5 minutes to make sure it absorbs all of the stain.
  6. Rinse the stained area with cold running water.
  7. Launder the item according to the care instructions.

For stubborn grass stains, you may need to repeat these steps several times before the stain is completely gone.
