Lay the lace flat and use a clean cloth to blot at the stained area. Do not rub it as this can cause damage to fabric of the lace.
Mix a teaspoon of mild laundry detergent with some lukewarm water in a bowl. Stir the mixture until the detergent has dissolved completely.
Soak stained area of the lace in the detergent solution for 15 minutes. After that, use an old toothbrush to lightly scrub away any remaining residue.
Once you're done scrubbing, rinse the lace with lukewarm water and let it air dry.
If there are still some stains remaining, it's time to bring out the white vinegar. Soak a cloth in vinegar and dab it directly onto stained areas. Leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
Now your Cornelli lace is looking clean and beautiful again. And all it took was a few simple steps!
