You’ll need a few things to get started: some warm water, a mild liquid detergent, a white cloth, and an old toothbrush.
Before you start, you’ll want to test the material for colorfastness. Take a damp white cloth, wet it with water, and dab a small area of the bag, inside a seam or pocket. If the cloth picks up any color, it is not colorfast, and you will need to proceed carefully or contact a professional cleaner.
Mix about two teaspoons of mild soap and two cups of warm water in a clean bowl. Make sure the soap does not contain any bleaching agents.
Dampen a white cloth with the soap solution, and gently rub it over the grass stain. If it doesn’t seem to be coming out, use an old toothbrush to work it into the stain. Be gentle and do not scrub too hard as this could damage the leather.
Rinse the cloth and repeat the process until the stain has disappeared. If stain persists, repeat process with a clean cloth and more soap solution.
Once the stain is gone, pat the area dry with a clean cloth and allow the bag to air dry completely.
