If the grass stain is still fresh, try using a damp cloth and some mild detergent on stain. Rub the cloth gently in circular motions over the stain until all traces of stain have been removed. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may need to use a bit of rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to get it out.
If the grass stain has already dried, try lightly spraying it with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let this sit for a few minutes before gently rubbing it with a soft cloth using circular motions. If the stain is still there, you can try using a bit of laundry detergent directly on the stain (with cold water) and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Afterwards, put the pants in the washing machine and let it go through one full cycle. You should then check to see if the stain is gone; if not, then try repeating the same steps as mentioned above.
If you want to avoid getting grass stains on your chinos in first place, make sure that you wear them with a pair of shoes and socks that have a good grip on ground. This will help prevent sliding and slipping, which are the main causes of grass stains.
Getting rid of grass stains from chinos can be a tricky business, but it's certainly doable with right techniques. Just follow the steps above and you'll have your chinos looking as good as new in no time.
