Using cold water, rinse out the grass stain from the inside and outside of the cashmere garment until it has been thoroughly saturated. Doing this as soon as possible will help prevent the stain from sinking too far into the fabric.
Mix a mild, lukewarm detergent with some cold water. Apply the mixture directly to the stain and allow it to soak in the solution for 10-15 minutes. You may want to use a small brush or sponge to gently rub detergent into the stain.
After pre-treating the stain, wash the garment on its own in cold water and a mild detergent. Make sure to use the gentlest cycle possible and avoid using bleach. Allow the garment to air dry afterwards.
If the stain is still visible after washing, pre-treat the area with white vinegar before washing once more. This should help remove any remaining residue from the grass stain. To deodorize, add a ½ cup of white vinegar to the washing machine’s rinse cycle.
Once you have removed the grass stain, make sure to launder the garment according to its care instructions. Usually, cashmere can be machine-washed on the gentle cycle with cold water. When finished, lay the garment flat to air dry.
By following steps above, you can easily remove grass stains from delicate cashmere items! With proper care, your cashmere garment will look as good as new.
