Pre-Treat the Stain
Before attempting to remove stain, pre-treat the stained area with a product specifically made for stain removal such as OxiClean or Shout. Apply the product to affected area and let it sit for a few minutes before you begin cleaning process.
Hand Wash or Machine Wash
Once you have pre-treated the stained area, you then have the option of either hand washing or placing the item in the wash machine. For a hand wash, fill a bucket or sink with warm water and add a detergent specifically made for delicates (such as Woolite). Let the item soak for about 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. If you decide to use the machine, be sure to choose delicate cycle and also use a detergent specifically made for delicates.
Air Dry
Once the item has been washed, gently squeeze out excess water, then lay flat on a towel to air dry. Do not put the item in the dryer as this could make the stain permanent.
