If the grass stain is still wet, use a dull knife or spoon to scrape away as much debris as possible. Then, dampen a clean white cloth with cold water. Make sure not to use hot water, as this can cause the stain to spread and set into the fibers of the rug.
For grass stains that have already dried, mix together equal parts of white vinegar and cold water in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray the stain with the mixture and leave it for roughly 10 minutes. Then, use a clean white cloth and scrub the area gently with some mild laundry detergent or liquid dish soap and cold water.
