The first step is to try and remove the stain with mild soap and warm water. Apply the soap gently onto the spot and use a cloth or brush to rub the area. Leave it for about 15 minutes, then rinse off soap.
If stain persists, try using a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Soak the apron in the solution, then rub the area of the stain gently. Let fabric sit in solution for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
OxiClean is effective for many types of stains, including grass. Start by soaking apron in lukewarm water, then add a scoop of OxiClean powder or liquid. Rub the stained area gently and let the fabric soak for about 30 minutes before rinsing.
Another solution is to mix detergent powder with warm water until it forms a paste. Apply the paste directly onto grass stain and use a damp cloth to rub it in gently. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off the paste.
If none of the above methods have worked, give ammonia a try. Create a mixture of one part ammonia and two parts water and soak the apron in it for 15 minutes. Gently rub the stained area, then rinse fabric and allow it to air dry.
