The first step in removing glue stains from wool is to scrape off any excess with a blunt knife. Be careful not to rub stain, as this will drive the glue further into the fabric.
Mix some dish soap with warm water in a bowl. Use a white cloth or a sponge to apply the solution to the stain. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and warm water in another bowl. Dip a white cloth in the solution and dab stain. Do not rub the stained area, as this will cause the glue to spread. Leave the solution on fabric for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
If glue stain is still visible, sprinkle some baking soda or cornstarch over it. Leave it on for a few minutes before brushing it off. If stain is still visible, repeat this process until the stain disappears.
If the glue stain is still present, you can apply some olive oil to the affected area. Use a white cloth or sponge to rub the oil gently into fabric. Leave it for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.
Removing glue stains from wool fabric can be challenging, but using the right methods can help to safely eliminate the stain. Try the steps outlined above to easily remove stain from your fabric.
