For best results, it's helpful to act quickly as soon as you notice stain. Removing glue from fabric becomes more time-consuming and difficult over time, so try to tackle the job shortly after the incident occurs.

Step 1: Scrape Off Excess Glue

Use a butter knife or other blunt object to gently scrape away any excess glue that is visible on the surface of the voile fabric. Be gentle so you don't tear or damage the fabric.

Step 2: Apply Ice Pack

To get the glue hard enough to scrape off the fabric, wrap an ice pack or an ice cube in a towel and press it against the glue stain to freeze and harden it. Leave the ice pack in place for several minutes until the glue has solidified.

Step 3: Scrape Off Remaining Glue

Once the glue has frozen, use another butter knife to carefully scrape the stained area. Try to remove as much of the glue as possible without damaging voile fabric.

Step 4: Soak the Stain

Create a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts warm water. Dip a cloth into the solution and wring it out so it's damp but not soaking wet. Apply the cloth to glue stain and let it soak for up to five minutes.

Step 5: Wash the Fabric

Rinse the fabric with cold water. Then add mild liquid laundry detergent to a washing machine and set the cycle to gentle or delicate setting. Put the voile item in the washer and let it run through the entire cycle.

Step 6: Dry the Item

Once washer cycle has completed, transfer the voile item to a dryer and set the cycle to "fluff" or "air only." Allow the voile fabric to dry completely on the air-only setting.

Step 7: Check Stain

Once voile fabric has been air-dried, check the stained area to see if all of the glue has been removed. If not, repeat steps 1-6 until the stain has been entirely eliminated.

Conclusion

Removing glue from voile fabric requires a few simple steps and some patience. With right strategy, you can successfully clean glue stains from your favorite voile fabrics.
