Steps for Removing Glue on Traditional Clothes

  • If the glue is still wet, try to peel it off as soon as possible. If the glue cannot be peeled off, scrape as much off as possible.
  • Check the care label on the clothing item to make sure that you don't damage the fabric by treating it in a particular way.
  • Use an old toothbrush to scrub the area affected by the glue.
  • Apply a small amount of liquid detergent to the glue stain and rub it in. Wash the garment according to the care label instructions.
  • For more stubborn glue stains, apply a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Use a soft brush to scrub the area gently before washing again.
  • If the stain is still present after trying these methods, use a commercial solvent such as acetone or nail polish remover. Be sure to test the solvent on an inconspicuous area first, as some fabrics can be damaged by solvents.
