Gather Your Materials

Before you start cleaning your Tommy Hilfiger clothing, make sure you have the following materials:

  • A clean, white cloth
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • A toothbrush or scrub brush
  • Dish soap
  • A sponge
  • Cold water

Step 1: Scrape Away Excess Glue

The first step is to scrape away as much of the excess glue as possible with a toothbrush or scrub brush. If you have an old toothbrush, that works best. Don’t be too harsh as you don’t want to damage fabric.

Step 2: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Once you’ve scraped away as much of glue as possible, apply rubbing alcohol to an old cloth and dab it onto the affected area. Do not rub it in as this can damage the fabric.

Step 3: Wash With Soap and Water

When the rubbing alcohol has dried out, gently scrub the affected area with a mixture of dish soap and cold water using a sponge. Again, be gentle and avoid rubbing too hard as this can damage the fabric.

Step 4: Rinse With Cold Water

Rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry. If the stain is still visible, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until it is gone.
