1. Baking Soda and Water Paste

The first method you can use is to make a paste out of baking soda and water. Mix together two tablespoons of baking soda with a small amount of water until you have a thick paste. Rub the paste onto the stain, coating it completely.

After letting the paste sit on stain for one hour, take a soft-bristled brush and start gently working paste into the fabric. Rinse off the paste, repeat if necessary, and then launder the fabric as usual.

2. Vinegar and Water Solution

For this method, mix one part white vinegar with one part water and pour solution over stain. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes and then dab the stain with a clean cloth—don’t rub! If there is still some of the stain remaining, mix together a tablespoon of dish soap and a cup of warm water and dab that solution onto the area.

Next, rinse the fabric with cold water. Let it air dry and if any of stain remains, repeat process until it’s gone.

3. Alcohol Solution

You can also try using an alcohol solution to remove a glue stain from silk faille fabric. First, mix together one teaspoon of liquid detergent and one cup of rubbing alcohol. Dip a cotton swab into solution and apply it to the stain. Gently dab at the stain until it starts to lift and gradually disappears. Afterward, rinse the fabric with cold water and let it air dry.

If needed, you can repeat the process until the glue stain is gone. Once it’s gone, you can launder the fabric as usual.

Conclusion

Glue stains can be challenging to remove from fabrics, but by using any of these three methods you can easily get the job done and restore your silk faille fabric to its original beauty.
