What You'll Need

  • Sponge
  • Mild laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Clean cloth

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the glue stain and gently scrub with a damp sponge.
  2. Rinse the area with clean water until the soapsuds are gone.
  3. Mix white vinegar with warm water in equal parts and soak a clean cloth in the solution.
  4. Place the damp cloth over the glue stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the cloth and gently scrub the area with a damp sponge.
  6. Rinse the area with clean water.
  7. Allow the shearling garment to air-dry completely.

Tips

  • Do not use any cleaning solutions containing bleach as they may damage the shearling fabric.
  • Do not put shearling garment in the washing machine or dryer – this will ruin the garment.
  • If the glue stain is still visible after following the steps above, repeat process until the stain is gone.
