The first step in cleaning glue stains from your scrubs is to scrape off any excess glue. Use a knife or spatula to carefully remove as much of the glue as possible without damaging fabric. If this isn’t possible, you may need to use an eraser, tissue or scrap of cloth to gently remove stain.

Once excess glue has been scraped away, you can begin treating the remaining stain with a cleaning solution. For general glue residue, a mixture of white vinegar and warm water should suffice. For tougher stains, try mixing liquid detergent in place of the vinegar. Mix one part of cleaning solution with four parts of warm water in a bowl or spray bottle and apply it directly to the glue stain.

After the solution has set for 10-15 minutes, use a brush or damp cloth to lightly scrub the area. Once glue has been completely removed, rinse off the solution with cold water and blot the area with a dry cloth until fabric is no longer wet.

In some cases, the glue may have settled deep into the fabric and become difficult to remove. If this is the case, you may want to consider investing in a commercial adhesive remover. These products can usually be found at most hardware stores, and can be used to safely break down and remove tough glue stains from a variety of surfaces.

Whether you’re stuck with a glue stain on your scrubs or other fabrics, following these steps should help you remove the stain quickly and efficiently. Keep in mind that it’s always best to act swiftly when dealing with glue stains, as the sooner you begin cleaning, the easier it will be to remove.
