If the glue is wet, use a spoon or a dull knife to scrape off as much glue as possible. Once there is no more wet glue left, dampen a washcloth with warm water and gently dab at the affected area. Don't rub too hard or scrub too vigorously — this can damage your robe.

Next, generously sprinkle natural-based laundry detergent directly onto the glue stain. Allow detergent to soak into the fabric for several minutes before rinsing off with warm water. You may also want to consider using a stain remover product that is specifically formulated for removing glue from fabric.

If glue stain is still visible after washing, pour some rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth and dab it onto the stain. Make sure to blot the stain rather than rubbing it, which may cause further damage to your robe. For lighter fabrics, like silk, mix one part vinegar with two parts water before dabbing it onto the stain with a clean cloth. When there is no longer any stain visible, launder as you normally would.

Keep in mind that not all fabric types have the same care instructions, so check the manufacturer's label before proceeding. Certain fabric dyes may be affected depending on the chemical composition of glue and the type of cleaning solution used. Additionally, when dealing with delicate materials like silk or velvet, test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous spot before applying it to the glue stain.
