Method 1: Rubbing Alcohol

Using rubbing alcohol is one of the most effective ways to remove glue stains from your pumps. First, apply some rubbing alcohol to the area with a cotton swab or cloth. Gently rub the fabric until the glue starts to lift off of the shoe. Be sure not to scrub too hard, as that could damage the material. Repeat process until the glue is completely gone. Once finished, rinse the shoes with cool water and allow material to dry.

Method 2: Water and Soap

If you don't have rubbing alcohol on hand, you can use a combination of water and soap to remove glue from your pumps. Start by wetting the stained area with warm soapy water. Use a damp cloth or scrub brush to gently work the soap into the stain. Continue to massage the material until the glue starts to loosen and gradually fade away. Once it's gone, thoroughly rinse the shoes with cold water to remove any remaining suds and let the fabric air dry.

Method 3: Candle Wax

Using candle wax to remove glue from leather or suede pumps is a time-tested remedy. Simply melt a candle and dip a clean cloth into wax. Then, gently rub the fabric to coat the glue in wax. Allow it to sit for several minutes before wiping off the excess with a dry cloth or paper towel. In most cases, the glue should come right off along with wax.

Method 4: Vinegar and Baking Soda

For those with more stubborn glue stains, you may want to try a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Start by mixing one tablespoon of white vinegar with one teaspoon of baking soda. This will create a paste that should be applied to stained area and left to sit for about 10 minutes. When the time is up, rub gently at the glue until it's gone. Finally, wipe down the area with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.
