To begin, remove any excess glue that is still wet from the fabric. A cloth or paper towel can easily wipe away any wet glue residue. If there are any small pieces of dried glue on the fabric, try using a pin or needle to carefully dislodge them.

Once you have removed any excess glue from surface of the fabric, it is time to begin the cleaning process. Depending on the type of glue used, you simply may be able to rub the stained area with mild soap and water. If this does not work, try pre-treating the stain with a laundry detergent specifically designed for treating stubborn stains. Let sit for 5 minutes, and then gently rub the fabric together.

If the stain still does not come out, fill a bucket with hot water and laundry detergent. Soak poncho in the bucket for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, take the garment out of the water and rinse it with warm water. Be sure to squeeze out the excess water before laying garment flat to dry.

By following these simple steps, your poncho should look good as new and free from glue stains! Just remember to be gentle and patient when treating the fabric.
