The first step is to remove as much of the excess glue as possible. This can be done with a spoon or dull knife. Scrape away as much of the glue as you can without damaging the mule’s fabric. For harder to reach areas, use a soft bristle brush to help loosen the glue.
Once you’ve removed as much of the excess glue as possible, it’s time to attack the remaining stain with a stain remover. Choose one that is designed specifically for fabrics and follow the instructions closely. Once stain remover has been applied, work it in with a soft brush, then rinse with cool water.
The last step is to launder mules according to the care instructions. After laundering, dry according to care instructions and inspect the mules to verify that the stain has been completely removed. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-3 until the stain is gone.
