What You Need

  • White vinegar or lemon juice
  • A small bowl or cup
  • A soft cloth
  • Dish soap (optional)
  • A toothbrush (optional)

Step One: Dilute the Vinegar or Lemon Juice

In a small bowl, mix one part vinegar or lemon juice with two parts water. This will create a gentle cleaning solution that won’t damage your mask.

Step Two: Apply the Solution

Using a soft cloth, apply the diluted solution onto glue stain and work it into the fabric using gentle circular motions. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for several minutes before continuing on to the next step.

Step Three (Optional): Use Dish Soap and a Toothbrush

If the glue stain still remains, add a few drops of dish soap into the solution and then use an old toothbrush to work the mixture into the stain. Gently scrub in circular motions for several minutes until the stain begins to lift away from the fabric.

Step Four: Rinse with Water

Using fresh water, rinse the affected area until all of the vinegar or lemon juice is removed, then allow to air dry or gently pat with a soft cloth.

Conclusion

Cleaning glue stains from your masks doesn’t have to be a stressful process. With these simple steps, you can easily remove glue stains and make your masks look like new again.
