Materials Needed

  • White vinegar
  • Cotton swab
  • Dish detergent
  • Soft rag or cloth

Step One: Soak With Vinegar

Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Dip your cotton swab into mixture and lightly apply it to your headphones. Make sure not to submerge them into the liquid as this can damage them. Let the vinegar soak for about five minutes then wipe away with a soft rag or cloth.

Step Two: Add Soap To Remove Sticky Residue

If there is still a sticky residue left over, pour a drop of dish detergent onto the cotton swab and soak it in the vinegar mixture. Then gently dab over the area. This should help remove the majority of stickiness.

Step Three: Rinse Away the Soap

After adding the dish detergent, wipe headphones down with a damp soft cloth to rinse away the soap. Make sure the cloth doesn't have any harsh chemicals on it - otherwise this can cause damage.

Conclusion

Once you're finished, let the headphones dry completely before using them. With just a few simple steps, you can quickly get rid of sticky glue stains on your headphones!
