If your hat is made of cotton or another fabric such as polyester, nylon, or acrylic, it is possible to remove the glue stains. The following supplies will be needed: white vinegar, a sponge, laundry detergent, a toothbrush, and an old toothbrush.

The first step is to create a cleaning solution by mixing equal parts white vinegar and laundry detergent. You can also add some warm water if you prefer. Once the solution is mixed, take sponge and soak it in the solution. Gently scrub the stained area with the sponge until the glue is loosened. Then, use the old toothbrush to scrub away the remaining glue.

If the glue is still not coming off, you may need to pre-treat the area with laundry detergent before attempting to scrub it with the brush.

Once the glue has been removed, rinse area with clean water. To get rid of any remaining detergent residue, using a wet cloth to wipe the area down. Allow the area to air dry and your hat should be free of glue stains!
