Step 1: Soften the Glue Stain

To start, dab a bit of baby oil, vegetable oil, or cooking oil onto the glue stain and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. This will help soften up the glue so that it’s easier to peel away.

Step 2: Peel Away the Glue

After the glue has had time to absorb oil, use your fingers to gently peel away as much of the offending glue as you can. You may need to re-apply oil a few times to completely remove the glue.

Step 3: Remove Any Residue

Once the glue is fully removed, use a cloth dampened with warm, soapy water (dish soap works well) to remove any residue from the glue. Be sure to rinse off any soap residue under cool, running water and then let the handbag air dry completely before using it again.
