To start, use a butter knife or dull edge of a credit card to gently scrape away any excess glue visible on the fabric. Take care no to press too hard, as this could damage fabric.
Next, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly directly to the glue stain, and let sit for several minutes.
After petroleum jelly has done its work and broken down the glue, wash the fabric with a mild detergent in cold water. Then hang fabric to dry.
Once fabric is completely dry, use a fabric softener spray to restore the hanbok’s softness. Allow the fabric softener to fully absorb into the fabric before wearing.
If the glue stain is still noticeable after washing and drying, you may need to try a spot treatment. Make a paste using warm water and baking soda, then apply it directly to the stain. Use a damp cloth to remove the paste, and repeat until the stain is gone.
