What You Will Need

  • Mild liquid detergent
  • Soft bristle toothbrush
  • White vinegar
  • Ammonia
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Soft cloths

Step 1: Pre-Treat

Mix ¼ teaspoon of mild liquid detergent in one cup of cold water. Using a soft cloth, dab the glue stain with the pre-treatment solution. Blot gently until the stain begins to lift.

Step 2: Scrub

Using a soft-bristle toothbrush, gently scrub the affected area to help remove the glue residue. Be careful not to use too much pressure, as this could damage the crepe fabric.

Step 3: Rinse

Rinse the area with cold water and blot it dry with a soft cloth.

Step 4: Neutralize

Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water and apply it to glue stain. Blot with a soft cloth. Rinse again with cold water and blot dry.

Step 5: Deodorize

Mix one teaspoon of ammonia in one cup of cold water and apply it to the stain. Blot the area with a clean cloth. Rinse the area with cold water and blot it dry.

Step 6: Disinfect

Soak a soft cloth in rubbing alcohol and dab the glue stain until it is completely removed. Rinse area with cold water and blot it dry.
