1. Gently scrape excess glue with a knife or spoon

Before attempting to clean the stain, try to gently scrape away as much of the excess glue as possible with a knife or spoon. This will reduce some of the challenge when it comes time to cleaning the stain.

2. Pretreat the stain with a laundry detergent

Dab a bit of laundry detergent onto stain and lightly rub it in using your fingers or a soft-bristled brush. Allow detergent to sit on stain for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step.

3. Soak the stained area in warm soapy water

Once you’ve pretreated the stain with detergent, soak the stained area in warm soapy water for about 15-20 minutes. This will help to further loosen the glue from the fabric.

4. Rub stain with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and baking soda

Create a paste of equal parts white vinegar and baking soda and then rub it into stain with your fingers or a soft-bristled brush. The combination of the vinegar and baking soda will create a chemical reaction that helps loosen the glue from fabric.

5. Rinse the area with warm water

Rinse the area with warm water to remove any residue left from the vinegar and baking soda. This will also help to further loosen the glue and make cleaning easier.

6. Launder fabric as usual

Finally, launder the fabric as usual with your preferred type of laundry detergent. This will help to ensure that all of glue has been removed from the fabric.
