Step 1: Scrape off Any Excess Glue

If the glue stain is still wet, start by gently scraping off any excess glue with a spoon or dull butter knife. Be careful not to spread the glue further, as this will only make stain harder to remove.

Step 2: Blot the Stain with Rubbing Alcohol

Next, pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a white cloth and dab the area with glue stain. Be sure to dab gently, as rubbing cloth too aggressively could spread and set the stain further into the fabric.

Step 3: Rinse the Stain with Cold Water

Once you’ve blotted stain area with alcohol, rinse it with cold water. This will help loosen up the glue, making it easier to remove.

Step 4: Apply a Stain Remover

Grab a laundry pretreatment stain remover and apply it directly to the glue stain. Allow the stain remover to sit for a few minutes before rinsing again with cold water.

Step 5: Wash Separately

Finally, launder the item of clothing separately on a cold or warm cycle. Depending on the severity of the stain, you may need to repeat above steps or use a stronger stain remover.
