Glue stains can be extremely difficult to remove from clothes without damaging the fabric, especially if the glue has already dried on the shirt. However, this shouldn’t discourage you from trying to restore your collared shirt back to its former glory. Follow these simple steps to ensure you can do it:

  1. Soak the shirt into warm water for about 15 minutes to soften the glue. The water should be warm enough to reduce the glue but not hot enough to damage the fabric.
  2. Scrape any leftover glue off the shirt. Use a razor blade or other sharp instrument to gently scrape the already softened glue off the fabric.
  3. Wash the shirt with a mild detergent. Place the shirt into the washing machine and run it on a gentle cycle. The best alternatives are detergents specifically designed for delicate laundry.
  4. Check for remaining glue stains. If there are still some noticeable stains, repeat the process again but you may need to use a more powerful detergent this time around.
  5. Air dry the shirt. Hang the shirt outside or near an open window for better circulation. Avoid drying the item in a tumble dryer as it will reduce the fabric's quality.

By following these steps, you can easily clean off glue stains from your collared shirt to make it look as good as new!
