Accidents happen, especially with kids around. From craft projects gone awry to globs of spilled glue, it's easy to find yourself with a sticky mess on your hands — and on your clothes. Some glues and adhesives can be particularly stubborn to get out of fabric, which is why it's important to know how to properly remove them.

If you have glue stains on your favorite Chico, there are several ways to effectively remove the glue without damaging the fabric. Read on for our tips on how to clean glue from Chicos.

What You Need

Before you start cleaning process, you'll need a few items:

  • Paper towels or an old cloth
  • A vacuum cleaner
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Dish soap, laundry detergent, or shampoo
  • White vinegar

Removing the Glue

Once you have all of the necessary supplies, it's time to remove the glue from your Chico. Here are some simple steps to help you get rid of the glue stains:

  1. Blot the glue with a paper towel or an old cloth. Be sure to use light pressure and don't rub or scrub the stain; this can cause the glue to spread.
  2. Using a vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment, carefully vacuum over the area to remove any remaining particles.
  3. Mix one tablespoon of rubbing alcohol with one tablespoon of dish soap, laundry detergent, or shampoo. Dip a cloth or a white cloth into the solution and dab the area until glue begins to lift.
  4. Rinse stained area with cold water and let it air dry.
  5. If there are still traces of the glue, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and dab the area with a clean cloth. Rinse with cold water and let it air dry.

Once you're done cleaning, remember to care for your Chico properly by following the manufacturer's instructions. This includes not putting the Chico in a dryer and using a stain remover if needed.
