Getting glue stains out of clothing can seem daunting, but it’s actually pretty easy when you know what to do. Here are the steps you can take to get your capris looking fresh again:

Step 1: Pre-Treat

Before you start, pre-treat the glue stain with a spot cleaner or a laundry detergent. Better yet, use a combination of the two to break up glue and make it easier to remove. Work the cleaner into the fabric and let it sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing it in cold water.

Step 2: Soak

Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, it’s time to soak. Fill a sink or bucket with cold water and add a generous helping of laundry detergent. Submerge the capris in the water and let them soak for 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how badly stained they are.

Step 3: Launder

After the capris have soaked, it’s time to launder them. Put your clothes in the washing machine and wash on the gentle cycle in cold water. Use a mild, color-safe detergent to avoid any further damage. Once they’re finished, hang them up to dry.

It’s that simple! With just a few steps, you can get glue stains out of your capris and get them looking as good as new.
