glue

If you have children, you’ve probably seen quite a few barrettes made from glue. These barrettes may look cute, but they can quickly become covered in glue if they aren't treated properly. Fortunately, you can easily clean your barrettes without having to go buy new ones. Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Gently Remove Excess Glue

The first step is to gently remove any excess glue that is stuck to the barrette. You can do this by using a pair of tweezers or a small pointy object. Be careful not to damage barrette when performing this step!

Step 2: Soak the Barrettes

After you've removed the excess glue, you'll want to soak the barrettes in a mixture of warm water and dish soap. Allow them to soak for at least 15 minutes. This will help loosen and dissolve any remaining glue.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once the barrettes are finished soaking, rinse them off with cool water and then allow them to air dry. Do not put them in the washing machine as this could cause further damage to the barrettes.

Step 4: Apply Nail Polish Remover

If there is still glue residue left on the barrettes, you can apply a small amount of nail polish remover to a cotton swab and gently rub it onto the glue residue. Be sure to not use too much or it could damage the barrette.

Step 5: Final Steps

Finally, apply a small amount of hair oil or conditioner to the barrette and buff it with a soft cloth. This will help keep it nice and shiny, and it also prevents the barrette from snagging on your hair.

Now you know how to easily clean glue stains from barrettes. This process is quick and easy, so you don’t have to worry about your barrettes looking dingy and old anymore!
