What You Need

  • Liquid dish detergent
  • White vinegar or rubbing alcohol
  • A sponge
  • Paper towels
  • Toothbrush

Step One: Blotting

First, try to remove as much of the glue from the fabric as possible by blotting stain with a paper towel. Do not rub stain, as this will only spread it further.

Step Two: Pre-Treat

Next, pre-treat stain with either a liquid dish detergent, white vinegar, or rubbing alcohol. Be sure to check the care label to make sure the fabric can withstand the substance you’re using. Once you have pre-treated the stain, let it sit for 10 minutes.

Step Three: Scrubbing

After the pre-treatment has had time to set in, you can begin scrubbing the stain. Dip a toothbrush in some warm, soapy water and gently scrub the stain in a circular motion. Then, rinse area with warm water until soap is gone.

Step Four: Washing

Finally, wash item according to the care instructions on the label. After the item has finished washing, check the stain to ensure that it’s gone before drying the item of clothing.

Conclusion

With right materials and some patience, you can easily remove glue stains from your Ann Taylor clothing. Just remember to always check the care instructions first so that you don’t damage the fabric.
