glue The first and possibly most important thing to keep in mind when removing glue stains from your American Eagle clothes is the type of glue that caused stain. Different types of glues require different cleaning solutions. If the glue is water-based, you can try using plain cold water to start. Soak stained area in cold water and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes. Then, use a towel or soft brush to gently scrub the area in small circular motions. If the glue is oil-based, you'll need something a bit stronger. Spot-test an inconspicuous area of fabric first to make sure the solution won't cause discoloration. You can try a combination of one cup of vinegar with one tablespoon of dish soap. Mix the solution together until a lather forms and dip a cloth into the solution. Gently scrub the stained area and then rinse it with cold water. If these methods don't work, you can try using a bit of rubbing alcohol on the glue stain. Again, spot-test the fabric first to make sure it won't cause discoloration. Dip a soft cloth into the rubbing alcohol and gently scrub the stained area. Apply a bit of pressure to loosen the glue but don't rub too hard. Finally, make sure to read the care labels on your American Eagle clothing carefully. Some fabrics are delicate and may not be able to tolerate scrubbing or the use of certain cleaning solutions.
