Glue is one of those substances that can seem to get everywhere when you're in the middle of a project. It's especially pesky when it gets on your accessories - things like jewelry, watches, and eyeglasses. Even though glue residue can be pesky to remove, it shouldn't be overwhelming. To make the process easier, here are some tips for taking the hassle out of cleaning glue stains from accessories.

Preparation and Supplies

Before you dive into cleaning up the mess, it's important to prepare. Make sure that you have all of the necessary supplies on hand, including:

  • Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
  • A soft, lint-free cloth
  • Dish soap
  • Toothbrush

Removing Glue from Accessories

Once you have all of your supplies, it's time to start cleaning up the glue stain. Here's how you do it:

  1. Start by dipping a cotton swab in some rubbing alcohol. Rub affected area of your accessory with swab until the glue starts to come off.
  2. If the rubbing alcohol isn't effective, try using nail polish remover instead. Repeat the steps above.
  3. If the glue still doesn't come off, create a solution of dish soap and warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and gently rub glue stain.
  4. Once the glue starts to come off, use a toothbrush to scrub away any remaining residue. Be sure to use gentle strokes and a light touch so as not to damage the material of your accessory.
  5. Finally, rinse the area with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

And there you have it! With these simple steps, you can quickly and easily clean glue stains from your accessories.
