Foundation stains on uniforms or workwear are never a good sign. But don't worry — it's easier than you think to get them out. This guide explains the three-step process for cleaning foundation stains from your workwear so you can look professional and ready for job.
To begin, mix a small amount of detergent with warm water on the stained area. Use a cotton swab or soft cloth to rub the cleanser directly onto the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth. Repeat this process until all visible evidence of the foundation has been removed.
If the spot treatment didn't completely remove foundation stain, use a cleaner specially designed for removing makeup. Read the directions carefully and apply the product directly to the affected area. Let it sit, then wipe away with a damp cloth. Lastly, launder the garment as you normally would.
Once the garment has been washed and dried, check for any residual foundation. If stain is still present, repeat steps 1 and 2. It may take several attempts, but stain should eventually come out! Additionally, avoid using bleaching agents when treating foundation stains on colored garments, as this could cause discoloration.
