When you’re out and about with your Under Armour clothes, it can be easy to get makeup smudges and foundation stains on them. But while these stains may seem like they’re impossible to remove, good news is that there are some steps you can take to get them out! Here’s how to clean foundation stains from Under Armour:

Step 1: Pre-Treat Stains

Before you wash, try pre-treating any foundation stains on your Under Armour. Start by blotting away any excess product with a damp cloth, then apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the stain. You can also use a stain-fighting spray or pre-treatment solution. Allow the pre-treatment to sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse and let Under Armour air dry.

Step 2: Use Hot Water and Detergent

When pre-treating isn’t enough, you can turn to hot water and detergent as a more powerful cleaning solution. Begin by filling your washing machine with hot water and adding a scoop of laundry detergent. If stain is especially stubborn, you may want to add an oxygen-based bleach like peroxide. Before putting the garment in the washer, be sure to check the label to see if there are any special instructions.

Step 3: Air Dry or Tumble Dry

When the cycle has finished, you can hang the Under Armour outside to air dry, or you can put it in the dryer on a low setting. However, if you do decide to tumble dry, be sure to remove the clothes from dryer as soon as possible to avoid any additional wrinkles or damage to the fabric.

Step 4: Repeat as Necessary

If the foundation stains are still present after one cycle of washing, repeat the process until you’ve gotten rid of them completely. Depending on type of foundation and the severity of the stain, this may take a few cycles.
