Removing Foundation Stains With Detergent

To get rid of foundation stains from umbrellas, you will need some laundry detergent. Take a few spoons of laundry detergent and mix it with water in a bowl. Once the detergent is mixed with right amount of water, dip a soft cloth into the mixture and wring out all the excess water.

Now gently rub the stain with the damp cloth. The detergent will act as a mild abrasive and will help remove the stain. Continue rubbing the cloth in circles around the affected area until the stain disappears. Finally, take a dry cloth and wipe area clean.

Removing Foundation Stains With Hydrogen Peroxide

If detergent doesn’t seem to work for foundation stains on your umbrella, you can try using hydrogen peroxide. Dip a clean cloth in some hydrogen peroxide and dab it onto stain, using a gentle circular motion. Now, let the hydrogen peroxide stay on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Finally, dry the umbrella with a clean towel and stain should be gone.

Removing Foundation Stains With Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is an excellent way to remove foundation stains from umbrellas. Similar to hydrogen peroxide, just soak a clean cloth in rubbing alcohol and dab it onto the affected area. Let the rubbing alcohol sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Finish by drying the umbrella off with a towel.
