Before attempting to remove a foundation stain from a twill fabric, you should pretreat the fabric with a stain remover or laundry detergent. Pretreating will help loosen the foundation and make it easier to remove later on.
After you've pretreated the stained fabric, it's time to wash it. Use a gentle, cold cycle to avoid damaging the twill fabric. If the foundation stain is still visible, don't dry the fabric; instead, move on to the next step.
Now that you've washed the fabric, you'll need to spot clean the stained area. You can use a mild soap and warm water, or a specialized spot cleaner like Zout, to dab the stained fabric. Work in small circles and be sure to rinse the soap off after applying it.
Once you've spot treated the stained area, it's time to rinse and dry the fabric. Use a cool setting on your washer and dryer to avoid damaging the twill fabric. After the fabric is dry, check to see if the foundation stain is still visible.
If the foundation stain is still visible after washing and drying the fabric, you can repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed. You may also want to try using a stronger spot cleaner, such as a chemical oxygen-based cleaner, to break down foundation further.
