It's important to act fast when you find a foundation stain on your traditional dress. Start by dabbing the fabric with a damp cloth or paper towel. This will help remove excess foundation from the fabric and prevent the stain from settling in. Be sure not to rub in the stain, as this can make it harder to remove later.
Once you've removed the excess foundation, mix a mild soap and water solution and use it to treat the stained area. Place a drop of the soapy solution onto stain and gently massage it into the fabric for a few seconds. After that, rinse away any remaining soap and allow the fabric to dry before checking for any remaining traces of foundation.
If the foundation stain still isn't coming out, add some stain remover to the fabric. Using a teaspoon, dab the fabric with the mixture until stain starts to disappear. As before, rinse away any remaining solution and allow the fabric to dry completely before inspecting for results.
Once the fabric has dried, inspect area to make sure foundation stain has been successfully removed. If there are still traces of foundation, repeat the above steps and continue treating area until the stain is gone.
