Step 1: Treat the Stain Immediately

If you notice foundation stain right away, act fast. Blot away as much of the foundation as you can using a dry, white cloth. Do not scrub or rub the cloth – just use a light blotting motion.

Step 2: Use a Detergent Solution

Mix a solution of warm water and a mild detergent. Gently dab solution onto the stained area, continue to blot until stain lifts from the fabric. Avoid rubbing the fabric together or scrubbing too hard, since this could cause the stain to further set into fabric.

Step 3: Rinse the Fabric

Once the stain is gone, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water. This will help get rid of any residue from the detergent and also help remove any fading that occurred while removing the stain.

Step 4: Air Dry or Machine Wash
