Take your tie and place it under running water. Make sure to use cold water instead of hot and hold the tie until the water washes away all of foundation on it. You may need to keep it under the water for a few minutes.
After you have removed the foundation from the tie, take a soft cloth and moisten it with laundry detergent. Gently rub the cloth against the tie in order to remove any residual traces of foundation.
Once you have cleaned the tie with the detergent, make sure to rinse it with cold water. This will help to ensure that no detergent residue is left on the tie.
Finally, take the tie and let it dry completely. You can either use a clothesline or simply hang it up to dry. Once the tie is dry, it should be free from any foundation stains!
If you have a stubborn stain that won’t come out, try using white vinegar to help remove it. Simply mix together a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water and gently dab the mixture onto stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off and letting it dry.
